In June 2026, I signed a partnership agreement with Fyne Boat Kits, which will market my plans, kits and even ready built boats in the UK. This agreement follows the decision by Alec Jordan, my previous partner, to retire. Furthermore, Fyne Boat Kits was a partner of Arwen Marine and cut the kits for the Silmaril and Grand Silmaril, as well as those for Chesapeake Light Crafts.

Founded in 1998 in the Lake District, UK, Fyne Boat Kits manufactures boat kits and ready built boats. The company is now proud to offer the VivierBoats range of kits and plans in the UK.

Fyne Boat Kits offer includes sailing boats, rowing boats, canoes and kayaks, as well as surfboards and paddleboards. Courses are available : you can take a boat building holiday and build your own boat under expert instruction.
The boat kits include pre-cut wooden parts, epoxy resin, a construction manual and a set of plans – everything you need to build the boat of your dreams. To make the process easier, all the wooden parts in the kits are precisely cut, drilled and machined using a CNC machine. Fyne Boat Kits can also build individual boats and can cut kits for other boat designs, subject to the designers’ approval.
The company also supplies all the essential materials for timber construction, including epoxy resin, Lloyd’s-approved marine-grade okoume plywood, and high-quality solid timber, such as paulownia and cedar strips. It stocks all the necessary equipment for a boat or canoe, including oars, paddles, sails, seats and much more.
