Several Stir-Ven 19 have been built by Grand-Largue boat-builder in France, but plans for home builders were not released. Actually, this requires additional work to make detailed building instruction, including some changes to take into account the feedback from the first boats. Smaller than the “historical” stir-Ven (now named Stir-Ven 22), Stir-Ven 19 keeps all the fundamental which made the success of Stir-Ven, with some new ones, as the self-draining cockpit and the water ballast. Stir-Ven 19 has the optimum size for a day-sailer. She is both a seaworthy, fast and safe on one hand, and easy to launch and recover on the other hand.

There are two versions of Stir-Ven 19, with a fully open cockpit or with a small cabin. The plans of the open version are presently available in both French and English language. One unit is already under construction in Ireland with a plywood kit cut by Jordan-boats in UK. The cabin version still needs some complements, but you may already order the plan which will come in time when the NC cutting of the plywood parts will be ordered and ready. Note that it is also possible to buy the CNC files, allowing any builder to have the plywood cut nearby, as there are more and more companies able to do the job.
