Full size patterns are required to build the boat and have to be ordered in addition to the plan.

This plan has been originally asked by an English yachtsman willing a suitable tender to go on-board his traditional boat. He has seen old tenders in Brittany, near Brest, and wanted to build a similar boat. The shape of this hull said as “cod’s-head and mackerel-tail”, are excellent for sculling with a single oar. Portzic is a lighthouse located at the entry of Brest bay.
Portzic is strip planked on laminated or steam bent frames. She is a stable tender, with a hard chine and full ends. Please be conscious she is not so easy to plank! Two units are already built. Note that I may draw a new line plan if you want a slender hull, or a wider transom, or a larger boat, or a smaller one…
