Les bateaux \u00e0 moteur ont une histoire de plus d’un si\u00e8cle. C’est pourquoi je propose une gamme de bateaux \u00e0 moteur inspir\u00e9s par la tradition. N’y cherchez pas de coques planantes grosses consommatrices de puissance. En revanche, j’affectionne tout particuli\u00e8rement les coques semi-planantes qui sont un excellent compromis et permettent de r\u00e9aliser des bateaux marins, \u00e9conomes en \u00e9nergie, avec une vitesse qui atteint le double ou le triple de celle d’une coque \u00e0 d\u00e9placement. La tradition est une excellente inspiratrice pour le d\u00e9veloppement durable.<\/p>\n

Je dessine des petits bateaux simples \u00e0 construire dans son garage, souvent des plates aux proportions \u00e9l\u00e9gantes, stable et id\u00e9ales pour la promenade et la p\u00eache, en mer comme en rivi\u00e8re. Le march\u00e9 ne propose plus aujourd’hui que des coques en plastique dont l’esth\u00e9tique est une v\u00e9ritable injure faite aux marins !<\/p>\n

La propulsion \u00e0 vapeur a aussi ses adeptes. Voil\u00e0 une autre fa\u00e7on de garder la m\u00e9moire de bateaux disparus. Le constructeur de canot \u00e0 vapeur doit savoir m\u00ealer le go\u00fbt pour le travail du bois et la passion de la m\u00e9canique.
\nLa vapeur est produite par une chaudi\u00e8re br\u00fblant du fioul ou m\u00eame un mat\u00e9riau plus traditionnel (bois ou charbon). L’\u00e9nergie thermique est transmise \u00e0 la ligne d’arbre par une machine \u00e0 piston. A la diff\u00e9rence du moteur \u00e0 explosion, la propulsion \u00e0 vapeur ne se manifeste que par divers sifflements et bruits m\u00e9caniques att\u00e9nu\u00e9s qui ravissent l’oreille du nostalgique. La puissance est faible, mais la grande h\u00e9lice tournant lentement donne un rendement infiniment sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui d’un moteur hors-bord.
